Types of Product Photography

  • White Background / E-commerce Shots: The industry standard for online marketplaces like Amazon, showcasing the product clearly against a plain white background.

  • Lifestyle / Contextual Shots: Photos that show the product being used by a model or placed in a realistic setting (e.g., a coffee mug on a styled kitchen counter), helping buyers visualize it in their own lives.

  • Flat Lays (Hero Shots): An arrangement of the product accompanied by related props or ingredients, viewed from directly above to create a visually appealing story. 

  • 360-Degree Photography: Multiple sequential images stitched together to let buyers rotate the product interactively, common in e-commerce stores for items like footwear, electronics, and furniture.
