Case Study | 1 Season, 12 Episodes - 6 Month Production CycleARTIST ARCHIVE PODCAST
The Challenge.
Build a podcast and media brand from a completely blank slate — no audience, no back catalog, no name recognition — in the fashion and art space, a category already crowded with editorial content, influencer commentary, and celebrity-driven media. The brand needed a real reason to exist beyond “another creative podcast,” and needed to earn an audience one episode at a time.
Jeff Otto Creative’s Role | Co-Founder, Co-Host, Creative Director, & Producer
Jeff Otto Creative co-founded Artist Archive Podcast (AAP) alongside co-hosts Michael and Madison — serving as creative director, producer, and on-camera host. This was full-stack brand-building: the identity, the visual system, the episode format, the guest curation, and the content strategy were all built from the ground up, not applied to an existing show.
Brand identity and visual system development for AAP
Guest curation, outreach, and relationship management across fashion, art, and modeling communities
Episode structure, topic development, and talking points for every guest conversation
Full production: recording, hosting, and on-camera interviewing
Content strategy and posting calendar across YouTube and Instagram, including short-form cutdowns

SOCIAL MEDIA
The ConceptArtist Archive Podcast is built around four pillars:
Voice (giving creatives a platform for real stories)
Community (bridging creativity and connectivity)
Education (insight into the art and fashion industries)
Conversation Impact (discussion that actually matters, not noise)
The show explores the intersection of art and fashion through honest, unscripted conversations with designers, models, photographers, stylists, and gallery owners — anchored by three rotating hosts (“the Archivers”) rather than a single interviewer.
Season 1 ran 12 episodes, curating a deliberately wide-ranging guest list — from visual artists confronting creative blocks, to a swimwear designer's owner-gallery duo discussing why art is displayed at all, to models breaking down what it takes to stand out in a saturated industry. Every episode was built around a specific topic and question, not a generic guest interview.
Sponsors & Media Partners
Within its single six-month season, Artist Archive Podcast secured three paid sponsors — Curry Fragrance, Martini Mates, and 9 The Gallery — validating the show as a legitimate advertising platform, not just a passion project, within months of launch.
The show also earned official media partner credentials for two major Arizona events: Phoenix Swim Week and Scottsdale Ferrari Art Week, both of which invited AAP to cover their events directly. That media access became original episode and short-form content — positioning Artist Archive Podcast not just as a commentary show, but as recognized press within the Arizona fashion and art scene it was covering.

Why It Worked
The data validated a strategic bet made at launch: short-form, question-first content built from long-form conversations would outperform the long-form episodes themselves in reach — while the long-form episodes did the deeper work of establishing credibility and relationship with guests. That split-strategy approach (long-form for depth, short-form for discovery) is why individual Shorts like “Don't Lose Your 'Why' As A Model” and “What's In My 'Model' Bag?” became some of the channel's strongest content, each pulling more lifetime views than most full episodes.
This is Jeff Otto Creative's operating model applied to brand-building from scratch: build the narrative and identity first, curate real relationships instead of transactional bookings, and let every piece of content — long or short — serve the larger story. Artist Archive Podcast wasn't grown by algorithm-chasing; it was grown by consistently giving real creatives a real platform, one conversation at a time.
The sponsor and media-partner traction is proof the strategy translated beyond viewership: brands and event organizers treated AAP as a credible platform worth paying for and partnering with, within a single season of existence.
